Social Media Follower Count Means Nothing When Selling Your Stuff

Follower count means nothing in the grand scheme of all things sales. Potential customers could care less about how many followers or likes your page has. Really, no one cares.

What potential customers are seeking is a solution. They want to know if you can do what you say you can. Can you produce results. If you have a track record of past or current client results. Are you a legit expert in your field.

The goal of using social media platforms is to regularly market your business and build trust with current customers. To provide free information reagarding your particular field of expertise. To gain attention and loyalty with your target market. To get email opt-ins, book discovery calls, guide your target market to websites, sales and landing pages.

Most potential customers follow your pages in silence, never letting you know they are interested in your products or services. They watch the content you post until they're ready to give your business a try. This can take months or even years.

My point is this, don't get so caught up in followers and likes. Just be consistent in providing useful content. Because you're being watched, even if your page does not indicate that you are.
