Everybody markets! You market, I market, they market. If you own a business, you need to market or you’ll be out of business. And this brings me to my point. Do you really know how to market your product or service? Can you clearly articulate to a potential customer why they need to purchase what you are selling?

If you answered the question with no, you don't know how to market your business. In other words, if you’re not making a profit daily, weekly, and monthly then you have a hobby, not a business. Successful businesses constantly earn revenue..

Also, if you think Facebook and Instagram are the only two places to market your product or service it is no wonder why you are not making money. Smart business owners know that they need to get from in front of their computers.

They regularly attend networking events, take classes, read, have a mentor or coach, and hire experts to help grow their business. They already know the saying, you’ve got to spend money to make money, is a true saying. So again, ask yourself this question. Do I have a business or hobby? If you have a business, you should already be putting in the work daily. If you do the above mentioned things every day, I promise you will eventually begin making a profit.

This is how business works. Forget that overnight success lie. There is no such thing as an overnight success. Let me tell you what there is such a thing as. A 41 year old woman who started a business after being fired from working at a corporate giant. She put in 10,000 hours (Google it) and made her marketing agency a success.

The world didn’t see the long hours of hard work, the uncertainty, the stressful times, the tears, the sacrifices, the lonely days, the late nights of working on client projects, and during lean days, the peanut butter sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The world only saw the after effects.

If you want a successful business, be prepared to put in your 10,000 hours, because there is no getting around it. How do I know this to be true? I was the woman who started over at 41 years of age. I completed my 10,000 hours back in 2020, and yes, it took that long for California to view me as a expert go to agency for marketing soloprenuer businesses.
